Lauren is a born-and-bred agency account servicer with a diverse portfolio of past clients, ranging from economists and natural hazard scientists to doctors, lawyers, bankers and even a children’s museum board of directors. She’s been in the trenches designing and implementing communications plans for private- and public-sector companies, nonprofit organizations and associations in a long list of industries, but landed at Hager Sharp on a mission to follow her passion and use her PR skills to make a difference in the world.
As an account supervisor at the firm, Lauren leads day-to-day client relations and project management in the education practice. She spends most of her time running back and forth between her client team, senior counsel and the creative department to develop effective communications strategy, come up with exciting new content, engage key media and provide other direct account support.
Though her top skills include strategic planning, messaging, media relations and social media management, Lauren is a writer and editor at heart. In fact, she’s never met a red pen she didn’t like – a trait she credits to her father, a courtroom stenographer who let her sit on his lap as a little girl to help proofread his transcripts “for fun.” She is always looking for compelling ways to connect a client’s message to their target audience through clear, interesting and meaningful content.
Lauren graduated with a bachelor of arts dual degree in communications and business from the University of Pittsburgh.
Lauren is a lover of hard copy, chilly weather, yoga and travel, with a passion for positive social change. A Pittsburgh native, she can be caught daydreaming of pierogis, Penn Pilsner and Penguins hockey.
