Pamela Nieto


Pamela is an innovative multicultural and bilingual communications professional with over seven years of public relations and marketing experience. At Hager Sharp, she specializes in creating and implementing targeted multicultural, including Spanish language, marketing and communications plans that build measurable social impact. She works across health accounts, including the Office on Women’s Health, Centers for Disease Control Domestic Zika Preparedness and National Eye Institute.

Prior to joining Hager Sharp, Pamela was the director of marketing and communications at the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC). In this role, she created, managed and implemented an integrated multicultural marketing communications strategy to position the organization prominently in the region. In addition, she managed the liaison with DC Health Link (Affordable Care Act in Washington, DC) advising on creating a targeted marketing and advertising strategy to reach Hispanic-owned businesses and the community to provide them with affordable healthcare.

In 2011, she managed the creative and production for national governmental clients such as the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Agency of Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She successfully launched AHRQ’s “Toma las riendas” campaign and its first ever social media presence. In addition, she led a blogger outreach strategy and live Facebook chat that targeted more than 20,000 people. Moreover, she managed research and production of telenovela-style promotional booklet for SAMHSA on women mental health and which distributed nationally.

Pamela also serves on the Board of Directors for the Hispanic PR Association in DC and the Children’s National Medical Center Milagros para Niños Committee. She has a Digital Marketing Certificate from Georgetown University and a B.A. in advertising from The Art Institute of Washington.

Though she’s been a DC resident for over 14 years, Pam is a native of Colombia (not Columbia). She has a strong passion for running, traveling, health, and multicultural social marketing.
