Joanne Lim, Ph.D., M.Phil., M.A.

VICE PRESIDENT

With nearly two decades of leadership experience in education research, large-scale assessments, evaluation, and statistics, Joanne oversees the team that provides technical support in assessment operations and alliance coordination activities on the National Assessment of Educational Progress project for the National Center for Education Statistics. In her role, Joanne ensures the on-time delivery and quality of client deliverables and mentors team members.
Originally from Singapore—the land of successful test-scorers—she has a natural penchant for the quality of education. When she’s not actively researching topics like how to beat a standardized test, she loves a good story and uses her Ph.D. from Columbia University to help clients find and communicate the real story behind the data.

Joanne also loves traveling to different parts of the world with her husband, serving in underprivileged communities and meeting school-aged children.

Joanne is obsessed with culinary experiments in her kitchen, scouting places on Lonely Planet to explore with her husband, concocting stories with her Star Wars potato heads, and Zumba. She’s quite a character.
