Jennifer Wayman, MHS

As one of the nation’s most sought-after experts in social marketing, Jennifer has built a career out of making positive change in the world.

She is a respected thought leader in her field, serving on the editorial board of Social Marketing Quarterly, as a founding and current board member of the International Social Marketing Association, as a member of the Society for Health Communication’s research and evaluation committee, and as a member of the planning committee for the bi-annual World Social Marketing Conference.

Jennifer has extensive and proven experience leading campaigns that result in pervasive social change. This has included leading the creation of The Heart Truth®, an award-winning campaign that started the women’s heart health movement with its signature Red Dress symbol.

An expert in public health and safety, she has deep expertise in topics ranging from behavioral science and public-private partnerships to women’s health, healthy aging, cardiovascular disease, cancer, vaccines, and violence prevention.

She holds an MHS in behavioral science and health education from The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a BS in business and economics from Lehigh University. She was named the 2007 Washington PR Woman of the Year by Washington Women in Public Relations.

Jennifer leads Hager Sharp with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit. She enjoys traversing the United States in search of adventure with her husband and four children, and is a die-hard fan of the Washington Nationals.
