James Elias

VICE PRESIDENT

With time served on Capitol Hill and in D.C. think tanks and communications agencies, James’s idea of a great day involves developing media relations plans for clients, reading issue briefs, and lots of C-SPAN.
During his time at Hager Sharp, he has lent his communications and policy expertise to media efforts for a diverse portfolio of clients across the firm.

He is a self-described “postmodern bourgeois liberal” and avid consumer of cultural trivia from the 1980s.

James’ ideal dinner party guests: Warhol, Halston, Liza, Mick, and Bianca. He has played blackjack in Las Vegas with Geoffrey Rush. He does not know how to ride a bicycle.
