SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
David Hoff has been deeply involved in the education world for more than 20 years. As a journalist, he covered major events in Congress and everyday classroom lessons that illuminated larger policy issues. He left journalism to join the senior communications team for U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, where he wrote speeches, launched the Department of Education’s social media presence, and developed the messaging for major announcements for Race to the Top and other initiatives.
At Hager Sharp, David leads efforts on behalf of the National Center for Education Statistics’ National Assessment of Educational Progress and advises other clients as they tell their stories to the media, online audiences, and policymakers.
He spends weekends watching his sons play soccer and hockey, gardening with his wife, and brewing beer with friends.
David is hooked on education news and policy and has been at every stop in his career, though he does confess to reading the sports page first in the morning.
