Darcy Sawatzki, M.A.

Senior Vice President
Infectious enthusiasm. Palpable passion. An uncanny knack for moving even the most challenging projects forward at a remarkable pace. Darcy is a longtime Hager Sharper with a glowing track record across the board: project management, social marketing, campaign development, media and partner relations, and multicultural outreach. Since she joined Hager Sharp in 1999, she has helped cultivate and grow the firm’s health practice.

Darcy is project manager of a multi-faceted health communications contract for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health (OWH) and a creator of OWH’s award-winning Best Bones Forever! campaign. She has led a media training program for 200 scientists at the National Cancer Institute, generated multi-page spreads for the 5 A Day for Better Health program, coordinated a radio media tour on breastfeeding for Michael Jordan’s mom, and won the Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil award for best government public service campaign.

A veteran Hager Sharper and social marketing enthusiast, Darcy is known for her passion, quick pace, and crazy (yet totally on-point) analogies. Career high: teaching Michelle Obama the Best Bones Forever! dance at the White House.
